President & CEO, Paul Salsgiver Announces Series B Funding and Immediate PlansI am pleased to announce that Advanced Photometrics, Inc, successfully closed its Series B funding round with venture partner Palo Alto Venture Partners led by their general partner Peter Ziebelman on Monday June 21, 2004. With this closing, the company is now positioned to begin the manufacturing of its patented chemometric analyzers. Current plans call for Advanced Photometrics to offer fully functioning evaluation units to prospective customers as early as mid-November 2004. During the evaluation period, we will deliver high capability chemometric analyzers that may be used with a variety of different sample cell accessories. Interested organizations are expected to provide Advanced Photometrics? management with direct feedback on what the additional features and capabilities, if any, they would like to see incorporated into the Photometric Analyzer production units scheduled for availability in the first quarter of 2005. We are excited to be in a position to introduce our revolutionary technology to the marketplace, as we believe it offers a very competitive solution at an aggressive price point. Advanced Photometrics is in the process of establishing its corporate headquarters in Pleasanton, California and will maintain its R&D operations in Grass Valley, California.
