Aspectrics, Inc. Begins Shipping Encoded Photometric Infrared Spectroscopy Evaluation Units to OEMs

OEMs Plan to Use Technology in New Analytical and Process Instrumentation

Aspectrics, Inc., a leading supplier of Encoded Photometric Infrared Spectroscopy (EP-IR) analyzers to OEMs, today announced that it has begun shipping evaluation units of its EP-IR technology to OEMs who manufacture analytical and process instrumentation. Specific details of individual technology evaluation agreements were not disclosed.

“We are pleased that we are now supplying our EP-IR technology to OEMs who will evaluate its use in various analysis and monitoring markets,” said Paul H. Salsgiver Jr., CEO of Aspectrics, Inc. “We believe that an opportunity exists for EP-IR to replace the Nondispersive Infrared (NDIR), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and gas chromatographic technologies currently used for process monitoring and environmental applications, as a single EP-IR system can replace multiple NDIR modules and provide better performance.”

At the heart of Aspectrics? EP-IR analyzer is a rotating disc onto which up to 256 concentric encoding tracks is formed. The EP-IR analyzer continuously acquires data on every optical channel in parallel to provide the most accurate intensity measurements. The encoding tracks of the EP-IR analyzer replace the detector elements of a conventional detector array and effectively offers NDIR ruggedness with FTIR performance.
